{"id":1926,"date":"2026-06-25T15:23:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T13:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssm-jie.com\/?p=1926"},"modified":"2026-09-18T15:34:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T13:34:09","slug":"manual-for-new-forms-of-non-formal-online-learning-in-intercultural-surroundings-now-available-for-free-download","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ssm-jie.com\/en\/manual-for-new-forms-of-non-formal-online-learning-in-intercultural-surroundings-now-available-for-free-download\/","title":{"rendered":"Manual for New Forms of Non-Formal Online Learning in Intercultural Surroundings \u2014 now available for free download"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three years of online intercultural work across six countries have been written up in a single practical guide, and it is now free to download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Manual for New Forms of Non-Formal Online Learning in Intercultural Surroundings<\/strong> is the main intellectual output of the project <em>Empowering Human Dignity of EU &amp; WB Youth<\/em> (EHDEU&amp;WBY, 101103498), implemented between July 2023 and June 2026 by seven organisations from Belgium, Spain, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Albania, with the support of the Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What it is.<\/strong> A working handbook for anyone who runs online learning activities with young people from different countries. It is not a theoretical text. Everything in it was tested during the project, across 64 online sessions with 658 participants aged 18 to 30 \u2014 academies for youth leaders and youth workers, certified training programme discussions on human dignity and European values, critical thinking and media literacy trainings, intercultural talks, and hybrid formats connecting online participants to in-person youth projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is inside.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Five design principles for online intercultural learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three reusable formats: the facilitated intercultural dialogue session, the multi-week academy, and the hybrid open event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidance on facilitating across languages and across unequal internet connectivity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical approaches to reaching and supporting young people with fewer opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How to measure learning, not just attendance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ready-to-use templates: session plan, participant feedback form, facilitator debrief note<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The recurring failure modes we observed, and what to do about them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each principle and format is illustrated with concrete examples from the activities themselves, including the ones that did not work as planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who it is for.<\/strong> Youth workers, project staff in NGOs, university staff and teachers, volunteer facilitators, and any organisation designing online or hybrid activities for a group that does not share one language, one country, or one level of digital access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Availability.<\/strong> The Manual is published in English, in electronic format, and is permanently free of charge. It may be reproduced, translated and adapted for non-commercial educational purposes.
