About us

The World Youth Alliance South East Europe (WYA SEE) is a European non-governmental organization of young people aged 18 to 30, dedicated to the promotion and protection of human dignity and human rights and the empowerment of young people in Europe, with a special focus on South East and Central Europe. WYA SEE aims to build a network of young people to transform politics and culture by promoting the dignity of the person and building solidarity among young people.

We were founded in 2018, and since then we have built a network of over 30 organizations and 60,000 young people across Europe. The World Youth Alliance Southeast Europe Association was established with the aim of promoting the importance of young people’s role in a democratic society, with special emphasis on promoting solidarity and the dignity of the human person through a culture of democratic dialogue and social engagement, as well as spreading the concept of sustainable development viewed from a human rights perspective.

The Association operates in the fields of democratic political culture, culture and art, human rights, international cooperation, education, science and research, sustainable development, social services, and health protection.

The Association’s activities include:

educating about human rights, the dignity of the human person, interpersonal relations, reproductive health, and sexuality;
organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, round tables, and cultural events;
public advocacy and promotion of the dignity of the human person through various policies, initiatives, education, and culture;
protecting youth interests and the right to equal treatment;
organizing public campaigns to improve the overall social position of young people;
publishing publications—books, leaflets, brochures, etc.;
participating in current social changes by fostering a culture of dialogue;
coordinating and encouraging communication between young people in the Republic of Croatia, EU countries, and Southeast European countries;
monitoring the adoption of regulations and participating in public discussions;
conducting research on issues related to the Association’s goals;
producing media content related to the Association’s goals, in accordance with the law;
assisting citizens from the most vulnerable social groups and organizing humanitarian actions;
encouraging students to be active in public life at the university level;
conducting the Association’s official training programs;
sending members of the Association to intern at WYA headquarters and branches worldwide, and encouraging the exchange of knowledge, experience, and information among young people;
organizing occasional package tours exclusively for its members, lasting up to two days and including at most one overnight stay;
preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, non-alcoholic drinks, and meals for its employees and members in its business premises, in accordance with relevant regulations.
