Date of publication: August 8, 2025.

At the World Youth Alliance, we believe young people are not just the present, they are the future leaders. That’s why we are committed to training youth with the skills they need to thrive in today’s world. This fall, we are excited to announce two upcoming opportunities hosted by WYA Spain.

The events

Coming This Fall: Learn to Navigate Fake News and Polarization Online
From September 9 to October 21, 2025, WYA Spain will host its Leadership Academy, a fully online training program designed to strengthen critical thinking and media literacy in the digital age. With misinformation, indoctrination, and polarization spreading rapidly, the Academy will give participants the tools to analyse online content, respond effectively, and build resilience against fake news and radicalization.

Through trainers-led workshops, peer-to-peer exchanges, group discussions, and interactive media literacy tools, participants will gain both theoretical and hands-on experience. They will explore real-world journalism cases across cultural, legal, and political contexts while practicing fact-checking strategies that can be applied in their own communities. This is more than training, it’s a collaborative and interactive learning experience that prepares youth to face today’s media challenges with confidence.

Have You Heard About Our Special Training Program?

Alongside the Academy, WYA Spain will also host its Certified Training Program from September 9 to October 21, 2025. Open to youth aged 18–30, this online program focuses on promoting citizenship and the EU’s core values of freedom, tolerance, and non-discrimination.

Through online discussion groups led by WYA Spain experts, participants will explore key themes such as Human Dignity and EU values. These conversations will provide young people with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to strengthen their leadership and become active citizens. In line with WYA’s mission, the program welcomes youth from diverse social, educational, and economic backgrounds, ensuring that every voice is represented.

To expand the program’s reach, WYA Spain will be working with youth leaders from across Spain to exchange ideas and design new strategies for greater youth involvement. Together, we can create more opportunities for participation and ensure that the voices of young Europeans are heard.

The events are implemented within the ˝Empowering Human Dignity of EU & WB youth˝ project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. In cooperations with Bosnian Association for Valuable Opportunities from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Alianza Mundial de la Juventud España from Spain, Këshilli i Veprimit Rinor – Prizren from Kosovo, EPOKA University from Albania and Svjetski savez mladih Jugoistočna Europa from Croatia.

Applications for both programs are now open, don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting journey!

Thank you for being with us,
